Hans Vanneste

For this cover, I was mainly inspired by the historical aspect of Brussels. An interplay of past and present. Portraits and caricatures are my specialty and with this I wanted to pay tribute to all (22) mayors of Brussels from 1830 to the present.The technique is pen and Indian ink on paper and digitally colored – 35 x 50 cm.
Hans Vanneste is a Belgian freelance illustrator based in West-Flanders. He creates sympathetic portraits with a caricatural touch. He publishes in various media with illustrations, cartoons and caricatures.
